Started out the day organizing and things. The sun comes up really early here, and sets early accordingly. Liching's sister made us lunch after we went to the open market and picked out a few things- Chinese eggplant, Taiwanese sausage, bean curd, tea pork, and I also ate my first chicken foot. It was black, and marinated in some kind of alcohol. Much better than soggy, mushy streamed ones that are more Hong Kong style, then, we met up with her niece and husband who took us around, showed us school, etc. Of course, we had another bobba.
There are plants on absolutely everything.Growing on roofs, trees, etc. Cool parks and lots of temples, of course. Spent most of the day walking around, learning about the bus and train. Also visited the school, International Taiwan University. The campus is huge! There are bobba places at every corner and only $1.00 each! Most everything is much cheaper, but still of quality. The people are very friendly too and communication has been interesting as either people know English full out, sort of, or not at all. So we do the best we can in Chinese, and them English speaking in both, pointing, laughing, smiling.
Rainy day, pouring at night and looks like it will continue well into the week. However, it is very cool so it feels nice.
