New Orleans is known for the amazing food. And we completely agree!
(ACME OYSTER FRONT)
The Acme Oyster house has been around a while, with their stand-up oyster bar, fresh oysters getting shucked in front of you
Seafood gumbo- perfect taste and consistency
Louisiana meat pies- delicious!
Raw oysters on the half shell
and bread pudding with bourbon sauce for desert
The Couchon on Tchoupitoulas also served up a great meal
Pork cheeks
(HAM HOCK)
The Famous Commanders Palace Restaurant
This place has SERIOUS bread pudding
Unfortunately, we didn't catch any shots of Coquette, another great restaurant a few blocks down from the Palace whose focus is locally sourced food

We had the chef's special which consisted of pickled peppers, cabbage, and mushrooms, on a bed of multi variety rice. The main dish was a lightly fried catfish fillet on a bed of corn slaw with beans and an amazing green sauce. Chocolate mouse topped with a fresh Julep cream sauce and fudge shortbread cookies was served for desert. A very creative and elegantly displayed menu that we certainly enjoyed!
